California Sexual Harassment Training Course

These Employee and Supervisor California Sexual Harassment Training Course are designed for employees and supervisors and meet the specific state requirements of US States, Including California (AB 1825, AB 2053, SB 396, SB 1343, SB 778) and the federal law (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964).

As of January 1, 2021, an employer having five or more employees shall provide at least two hours of interactive sexual harassment training to all supervisory employees and of interactive sexual harassment training to all non-supervisory employees in California within six months of their assumption of a position.

This training must be provided once every two years.

  • The definition of sexual harassment under the Fair Employment and Housing Act and Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964;
  • The statutes and case-law prohibiting and preventing sexual harassment;

  • Strategies to prevent sexual harassment;
  • Supervisors’ obligation to report harassment;
  • Practical examples of harassment;
  • The limited confidentiality of the complaint process;
  • Resources for victims of sexual harassment, including to whom they should report it;
  • How employers must correct harassing behavior;
  • What to do if a supervisor is personally accused of harassment;
  • The elements of an effective anti-harassment policy and how to use it;
  • “Abusive conduct” under Government Code section 12950.1, subdivision (g)(2).
  • Discuss harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, which shall include practical examples inclusive of harassment based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.

Who is required to receive Sexual Harassment training?

Supervisors:
  • Supervisors (organizations with 5 or more employees).
  • New Supervisors must be trained within 6 months of hire or promotion to supervisor.
  • Temporary and seasonal employees must be trained within 30 calendar days or 100 hours, if they will work less than six months.
Employees:
  • Non-Supervisory Employees (organizations with 5 or more employees).
  • New Employee must be trained within 6 months of hire or promotion to supervisor.
  • Temporary and seasonal employees must be trained within 30 calendar days or 100 hours, if they will work less than six months.

Completion Certificate
Employee receive a certificate of completion upon successful completion of our California Sexual Harassment Training Course.
